Now in their third year, the popular Ten2One seminars return, courtesy of the Master Photographers Association and Epson UK. Ten speakers, over two days in one venue... and this year the roadshows go to Croydon, Coventry and Bradford. They are open to all professional photographers.
This is a road show with something for everyone. Some of the most successful names in creative professional photography give an insight into the secrets of running a profitable photography businesses.
Not only do the experts show their tricks of their trade, Ten2One is also a fantastic networking opportunity with fellow photographers and the trade. Many photographers say they learn as much again after the seminars at these type of events, so overnight accommodation has been arranged at the conference venues at specially discounted rates.
There is also a comprehensive trade line-up at each venue so you can discuss the latest trends and products. This will also be a fantastic opportunity to view the latest inkjet technology from Epson and see how easy it is to produce top quality images.
On the Monday Christopher Bradbury kicks off the day, followed by Tracey Clements and Nick White from Epson. Chris Bradbury is wizard of digital photography, using Photoshop to create polished and perfect art montages in the footsteps of Bosch and Dali. Tracey is the doyenne of pet photography - go to the dogs with Tracey and win! Epson will be showing how to turn the digital dots into award-winning print output.
Monday afternoon starts with a demonstration by Apple explaining how to own a system powerful enough to handle large multi layer files with absolute colour accuracy. Also a presentation from David Wadley, who with over 2,500 weddings under his belt, manages to keep each one unique with a blend of tried and tested techniques and original creativity.
David is followed by Maria Murray whose portrait photography combines lyrical use of colour and tone with a distinct post-modern edge to attract a fashion and image conscious young adult clientele.
The day closes with an audience with Dennis and Simone Hylander, who transformed approaches to wedding photography on both sides of the globe, creating successful businesses wherever they have been – Cheshire, Australia, London and Spain.
The evening offers plenty of networking and socialising opportunities, especially for those staying over.
Tuesday opens with multi-talented and award-winning photographer David Calvert, whose Power Portrait branding came to notice with his first national awards in 2005. David knows how to devise a product concept and sell it to clients, and he’ll be explaining the difference this can make.
Guy Gowan follows with his fast-moving introduction to lightning speed Photoshop workflow using automation and actions. He has created tutorials and sets of Actions you can take away and use yourself with confidence after watching his easily understood demonstration, Part I and II. Then it's Len Dance, President of MPA, heading for a High Street social turnover of £1m.
Two of the UK’s best known photographers round off the day. Kevin Wilson needs no introduction; his wedding photography is marked by strong use of chosen locations and excellent composition, supported by full use of the quality of light, both natural and flash.
The conference ends on an unforgettable note with the ol’ gypsy David Facey, former London fashion shooter turned wedding and portrait maverick, bringing off-the-wall creative ideas into the lives of his sitters. David will send you away determined to be different and to put your own stamp on every single shot you take.
