Second instalment - The second Terry O'Neill Independent Photographer contest is now open to entries.
This latest competition will award the overall winner with £3000 and two runners-up with smaller money prizes. One photographer will also have their work featured in the Hotshoe magazine and Fulham Palace will take on one photographer to produce site related work.
The awards are a follow up to the successful inaugural awards that were held last year and won by Nicolas Ferrando, who created humorous images with the use of paper bags and people.
Both new and established photographers are invited to enter work into the contest, which is a celebration of the diversity of talent that can be found in the UK and Ireland.
The team of nine judges, who include photographer Terry O'Neill and Picture editor of the Sunday times Monica Allende are seeking dynamic images which have a compelling narrative.
Entrants must submit an exhibition series of three to six images which must fall into the criteria of documentary, reportage, landscape, fine art photography or portraiture.
The closing date for entries is the 10th September 2008 and the awards ceremony and 12 week exhibition will be held at the newly refurbished Fulham Palace.
