ePHOTOzine is considering publishing a book project title: ePHOTOzine - guide to great photography.

The book specification

Size: 280 x 215mm Portrait No of Pages: 224pp plus cover

Quality: Contents - 4/4 on 150gsm glossy art Cover - 4/0 plus gloss lamination on 300gsm C1S Cover price: 25 + 5 postage Available: September 2005 (est date)

The book will be split into sections that covers our current Gallery categories: Animals / Wildlife, Architecture, Close-up, Flash / Lighting, Flowers & Plants, General, Landscape / Travel, Portraits / People, Sports / Action, Specialist, Digitally manipulated, Darkroom manipulated, Transport and Photo Journalism.

In each section we will be presenting the best photos by members of that category with featured portfolios of members of the site who have excellent portfolios. Each section will also have shooting tips and technique advice using traditional and digital media.

As so many members have expressed an interest in the project we will first test the water with a poll to see if you still want this to go ahead. As we are self publishing and have no distribution channels we would want to take payment in advance to cover costs of editing, design and printing. All members who pay in advance will get the book at a reduced price of 22 inc free postage, their names (and email or web address) will also appear in the book on a thank you page.

To vote or view the poll please look here.
