Olympus VR-330 digital camera is cancelled - Olympus cancel the production of the VR-330 compact digital camera.

Olympus won't be launching the VR-330 digital camera, and the model has been cancelled worldwide. There is no official reason given, however an Olympus spokesperson did say it could be because they are 'balancing demand for the various models and the VR-range, VR-310 in particular, has had a good response globally.'
The VR-310 and VR-330 also shared many of the same components and according to Olympus 'it is not uncommon for one model to be given precedence.'
All the other models in the VR-series will continue to be produced, and anyone looking for the same zoom range could instead look at the Olympus SZ-20 with 12.5x optical zoom lens.
