Those That Can, Will. - Artwork by students and trainee teachers at Canterbury Christ Church University will be displayed in a unique exhibition entitled Those That Can Will.
Artwork by trainee teachers and their pupils will be displayed side by side in a unique exhibition held at Canterbury Christ Church University's Sidney Cooper Gallery from Wednesday 20th June to Friday 6th July.
The PGCE Show, Those That Can Will, brings together work of training PGCE Secondary Education Art and Design teachers and Design and Technology teachers studying at the University and the work of their pupils.
The exhibition represents the culmination of the trainee teachers' one year training course and will showcase a broad selection of styles and media. The show will include sculpture, paintings, collages, photographs and models constructed from a diverse range of materials and methods.
Sidney Cooper Gallery Curator, Hazel Stone, said: "What is interesting about this show is that it will highlight the talent of the teachers not only as teachers but as practising artists and designers themselves. This show will depict the range of styles and approaches that they have learnt throughout the course."
The Sidney Cooper Gallery, St Peter's Street, Canterbury, is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 1.30pm and 2.30pm to 5pm and admission is free of charge to the public. For more information please visit the Sidney Cooper Gallery website.
