Tickets will soon be on sale for this year's AOP (Assicoation Of Photographers) awards, plus the AOP Photographers awards are kicking off a month of events and exhibitions, including the AOP Assistants Awards and the AOP Open Awards.
This year, the panels of judges compiled of sixteen top industry players, have chosen to award sixteen Best in Categories and possibly a number of impressive Golds!
The presentation will take place at 6.30pm, Thursday 4 October at Ambika P3, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, NW3 5LS, in front of an invited audience of press, photographers and key industry representatives.240 winning images and three moving images entries were selected for the AOP Photographers Awards Book and Exhibition this year, drawn from over 3,000 images entered by nearly 400 individuals.
Exhibition and Party:
One of the biggest annual events for the photographic industry, the Photographers Awards Party will follow the presentation, on Thursday 4 October, taking place surrounded by the 2012 Exhibition, in the splendid Ambika P3. Doors will open at 7.30pm. Tickets are on general sale from Monday 17 September and cost only £10 for members, £20 for non-members. Further tickets may be obtainable on the door, depending on availability, and will be priced at £15 for members £25 for non-members.

The AOP Assistants Awards showcases the best images from the next generation of professional photographers.
The presentation and party will take place at 6.30pm, Wednesday 17 October at Hoxton Gallery, located in the heart of Shoreditch. The gallery is based at 12-18 Hoxton Street, London N1 6NG, only a short walk from Old Street tube and at the centre of east London's creative scene. The public exhibition will then continue until Friday 19 October.
For everyone who is passionate about photography, the Open Awards provides the perfect opportunity to gain recognition for their work. Its aim is simply to showcase outstanding individual images, whatever the style or subject matter, so the choice of work submitted is entirely up to the entrant.
This year’s AOP Open Awards presentation and party will take place on Thursday 25 October at the Dray Walk Gallery in London's vibrant Truman Brewery. The exhibition will be open to the public 25 – 27 October.
