Photo fx Ultra is a set of digital optical filters for the iPad and iPhone, designed for amateurs and professionals, with simulations of many Tiffen glass filters, specialised lenses, optical lab processes, film grain, exacting colour correction, natural light and photographic effects plus a paint system with a variety of brushes at your fingertips. There are seperate apps for the iPhone and iPad but they are very similar, with any differences pointed out below.

Tiffen Photo FX Ultra iOS App Performance

Whether using the iPad or iPhone version the app is really easy to use. You can upload a photo in your album or take a new one. There are a range of editing options along the top (iPad) / bottom (iPhone) including crop and rotate. The range of filters available is massive, which each of them having a range of variations. If you want to add more than one filter you simple need to add another layer.

If you are a Tiffen Dfx Digital Filter Suite user you can export you chosen filter selection to the program. Images can only be saved to your image library, there are no options to email or upload to social network sites such as Facebook or Flickr.

The Tiffen Photo FX Ultra app has so many editing options and as it's so easy to use, it really is a must have app for any iPhone and iPad user. iPhoneography is all about sharing images, so it's a shame that images cannot be uploaded to direct to Facebook etc. but that is the only negative the app has.

The Tiffen Photo FX Ultra iOS app is a must for those who like to edit their photos on the iPad/iPhone.
