The G6 is a fabulous little camera at its current price-point. I thought it was originally a little expensive given its slightly disappointing build quality, but I suppose that does enhance its lightness of weight together with its compact dimensions.

I found it to be ergonomically lovely - not too small that it's fiddly, but still very compact - and I've always been a fan of Panasonic's push-dial that lets you flick between aperture and exp comp, or aperture/shutter in manual mode.

The WiFi is also superbly well implemented. I bought mine with the 14-140, which makes for a surprisingly high-quality and of course very versatile travel combo. If you can find a kit with this [which would push it well over the 500 limit here, it does represent a good value way of acquiring the best super-zoom I've ever used - I don't see any penalty at the shorter end over the standard zoom and there's little to complain about its performance at the longer end of its range either.
