Are you tring to tell me the Nikon 1 is a better ILC than Pentax K01? I can start there and go right up the list!!!
19 Dec 2012 9:50PM
this list, in this moment is really useless. With plenty of people trying cameras and giving positive feedback on newer models as Sony nex-6 and Pentax k01 .... how is it possible to read a comparison like this?
please make an update on this one, thanks!

[and still... thanks for all of your super reviews! really.]

This list has been updated, and all of our mirrorless reviews can be found here:

Which is where you can find reviews of all the latest mirrorless cameras, their scores, and how/why they have scored the final ratings. Thanks.

Why no Canon cameras represented in this top ten? What are their failings? I'm thinking of the EOS M which you have covered during the last year? Sad

The review is coming, but the Canon EOS M does not score very well, and has a number of issues (Mostly lack of lenses, and slow focus) compared to the cameras featured on this list.

Thanks for the quick response Josh. As I own a range of Canon D SLR lenses I am torn between buying an EOS M. Past experience with Samsung compacts draws me towards their offerings...

Why, its based on overall score nothing else.

No samsung nx300 in the top 10? It's much better than nx210 under every aspect (but raw continuous shooting, where the 210 could take 8 pics in a row and now the newer nx300 stops after just 5...but I hope samsung corrects this via fw). I think the nx300 could be the best featured mirrorless on the market, with a great set of high qualitty primes.

A top 10 list that only goes to number 4, with 4 "joint 3rds" and 2 "joint everything elses"? Talk about sitting on the fence Wink

If two cameras come joint first then the next camera behind these two comes third not second.
How come you don't give five stars on the 'Performance' to EP5 when EM1/EM5/EPL5/EPM2 get it?

Hi, the E-P5 was tested with the 14-42mm kit lens, which wasn't the best performer, and as it is supplied as a kit with that lens (rather than say the 12-50mm with better macro, which is what we tested the E-M1 / E-M5 with), it got knocked down in the performance (IQ) section. Since the EPM2 and EPL5 were reviewed, there's also been the release of the new Panasonic 14-42mm II lens, and we've had to be more critical of performance due to improving IQ from competitors.

In the E-P5 review we note in the verdict that to get the best results a prime lens is recommended.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,
Josh

Empty sits for Fuji? How about nex series? It's a little one-sided

The Olympus PEN E-P5 has the edge in handling over the OM-D E-M5 and its clip on VF-4 Electronic Viewfinder is superior too- EPSON LCD with 2.36million dots, combined with Olympus optical elements (designed to give good performance even in the corners) and give a large 0.74x view.

Interesting to see the E-M1 is below the E-M5/M10. For a price/performance I think the E-M5 & E-M10 are better value for money. And its nice to see Samsung there as well.

Hello, if You put Olympus to 12th, so I guess a) You dont have any clue of photography and technic, or b) you have tested another camera and got confused with the data. But if this is Your real result, so the result is not worth to fill the paper.
Regards,

Strewth !!!!......what a lot of hot air !!!!!!!!!!!

The findings are EPZ's experienced evaluations !!.....you don't HAVE to accept them,; we all have
our own opinions, & free to chose our favorite camera..........

I rely heavily on such reviews, & value their results.....I've bought my last 2 cameras based on EPZ's
reviews, & agree with their findings.....& chuffed to bits with the results I'm getting !!!

I'd also love a Sony NEX 6....the review praises it highly !!.....but I don't regret it being left out of
the above survey at all !!!........Lighten up people, it ain't carved in stone !!!!!!!!!!!!!Smile
