Top international speaker line-up announced for British Photo Awards weekend - A weekend pass to attend the seminars is £35, plus VAT
The new Awards are a collaboration between the Master Photographers Association and the British Institute of Professional Photography and will take place at the Hilton National Hotel, Coventry, 16-18 October.
This mega event is expected to attract 500 photographers over the course of the weekend, so is going to be a superb networking opportunity, a fantastic chance to meet the trade, as well as great fun.
Four speakers span the three days. On Saturday 16th Irish award winner and current Overseas Master Photographer of the Year Gerry O'Leary FMPA FBIPP kicks off the proceedings. This is followed by a presentation from digital album magufacturer GraphiStudio, where complimentary cheese, ham and wine is provided. For those staying for the evening, Camerasure Alliance is sponsoring a fun evening of entertainment.
On Sunday 17th the morning speaker is Hossain Mahdavi AMPA ABIPP. 'Hoss' shoots pictures with 'attitude' and he's best known for his creative slant on fashion-style portraiture. Following the Awards lunch (invitation only) Piotr Kowalik FMPA FBIPP shows delegates how he shoots his dramatic and emotionally-charged images.
Monday morning kicks off with Dutch style pioneer Henk Van Kooten FBIPP. Those who have marvelled at his published work in the past will not be disappointed when they meet the photographer in person.
The weekend seminar passes are also available to members of the MPA and BIPP at a reduced rate of £25, plus VAT.
For further information about the seminars or to book any of the functions or accommodation, please call the MPA on 0845 130 9700.
