Toy Camera Feature - Pokedigi SQ30m

David, our web developer had a look at the Pokedigi SQ30m Pocket Camera: I found it a little difficult to get started using due to there being very little instructions in english. Luckily its quite a simple camera with only 2 buttons and a small 2 digit LCD screen. It has a total of 8 modes (4 photo, 4 video) each providing a different shooting style. There is no viewfinder and the only guide to line up a picture is a small notch on the top of the case.



I found it particularly difficult keeping my hand steady enough to get a photo that is in focus and not blurry due to a long shutter speed and not really knowing when the photo was being taken. When you push the shutter button, an initial beep sounds after about 2-4 seconds after, then another one about 1-2 seconds after that one. However, i imagine that if you are able to take a steady and in-frame shot that it could provide some pretty cool 'artsy' shots as the shooting modes provide some pretty cool effects.



Overall, it was a fun camera, but quickly found it a bit of an iritation waiting around 10-20 seconds for a photo to take and then finding that it was blurry.

The camera takes 1.44 megapixel photos, images are 1280x1200, and the camera uses MicroSD cards (max size 2gb).
