Two Pilots release MakeUp Pilot
Press Release:
The ability of contemporary photographic equipment to catch and record the finest details should be a priceless tool in our hands. But strangely enough, it's exactly that enormous power to preserve every bit of information that gets us disturbed and upset. Birthmarks, wrinkles, freckles, blemishes . . . somehow they all seem overly noticeable.

We have the answer. With MakeUp Pilot you can quickly and easily remove any cosmetic imperfection directly from the digital photograph. Just knowing that you can delete any flaw in a moment gives you the security and confidence to be relaxed, free and open in front of the camera; you have nothing to hide! Your spontaneity will come through in a much more "alive," expressive and attractive shot to start with.

That's when the fun starts. This program is extremely simple to use. You "play" with a palette of easy-to-use tools until you get your desired result, anything from a light smoothing out to complete coverage. Even "applying" makeup is no problem. What's more, if you have the slightest difficulty or question, demonstration examples are there to walk you through. If you need to, nothing is easier than returning to a previous stage and redoing your corrections; you can even revise your corrections in a small part of the picture only using your "undo brush."

We have also added functions to the new version of MakeUp Pilot that come in handy in perfecting photos of all kinds; for example, the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, image size, as well as framing and rotate options.

The program works on Windows 98/ME/2000/XP platforms.

MakeUp Pilot costs $29.95 (approx £16) for a single-user license.

Katrin Eismann's Book Photoshop Restoration and Retouching is probably a tad more expensive but will show you how to do similar stuff and loads, loads more.

I want to know why PS changes the way in which the clone tool works. If I have to do some very serious cloning, I have to install V5 LE!!! so I can have continuous cloning. A later version that I have does not allow it. Hard to describe here but it SUCKS!
