Press Release: UK Event Photography

Six ePHOTOzine members who met via ePHOTOzine forums have got together to create UK Photo Event - a web-based event photography service at to promote independent professional event photographers and find event photography work nationwide.

In order to compete with the large event photography franchises a website that allows users to search for local photographers has been developed. Users can use different searches to find a photographer that can cover the type of event they are organising, such as Equestrian or Party.

The group met online via the forums of ePHOTOzine and realised that they had similar ambitions and ideals that they wished to actualise. Without the presence and backing that a large company or franchise brings there is little chance of achieving these goals. It was decided that a joint effort could bring about large benefits. They hope that they will be joined by other skilled professional photographers to share in the benefits that collaborative working and national advertising can bring.

Good luck to all involved. I'm sure it will be a huge success.

It's great to know that ePz was involved in the founding of the company even if it was just a means of communication.
Good luck everyone. Smile
