UMAX announce the Astra 4700 high speed scanner

With its high speed USB 2.0 port the new high resolution Astra 4700 scanner sports a lightning fast preview time of 3 seconds, making this scanner one of the most productive on the market. USB 2.0 is the new fast data transfer connection found on many newer PCs. Fortunately the scanner is also backward compatible with the original standard USB 1.1 connections.

The Astra 4700 features a high resolution of 1200 x 2400dpi and 48bit colour depth. It features 3 push buttons, enabling you to Scan, Print and Email at the touch of a button.
In addition the scanner features an easy to use driver with advanced features for image control.

The scanner also includes a side stand for easy storage of the scanner when not in use.

For users with film scanning requirements there is an option to purchase a separate transparency Unit TPU4500 (shown right).
