Jargon Buster: OffVoigtlander Bessa R2a
The Bessa R2a and R3a are both Leica M bayonet, aperture priority cameras. The R3a features an unusual 1 x magnification viewfinder with 40, 50, 75 and 90mm bright lines, enabling easier shooting with both eyes open. The R2a features the more standard 7 x magnification with 35, 50, 75 and 90mm bright lines. Both models are of metal construction and have a matt grey paint finish. Other than this finish, the R2a and R3a feature the same specification as the standard black cameras, except for a re-engineering of the rewind crank. Both cameras are compatible with the wide range of Voigtlander accessories.
