Nokton 25mm f/0.95

We take a look at the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The lens is the equivalent of 50mm in 35mm terms, and has an extremely bright aperture opening of f/0.95. We were able to take a number of photos using the lens and the Olympus PEN Lite E-PL5.

While you have to give them credit for a .095 lens, you have to wonder why do they bother. What do I mean? It seems all of the non Leica .095 lens have them same fault, soft-focus wide open.

In fact as shown in the sample images shown here, the lens is only beginning to get sharp at f2.8. It seems to me if this is the best they can do Sad IMHO

In fact the Lumix 25mm is far sharper across it's entire range than this lens and costs less too. BTW the Lumix incorportes full Micro Four Thirds compatibility.
