If you've taken a look at ePHOTOzine's latest review of the EIZO ColorEdge CX240 monitor
you'll have seen that Delta E is something which is tested by our reviewer. Why is this tested? Well, if we were to quickly summarise what it means, Delta E is used to measure the colour performance of a monitor. The figure highlights to the user the difference between a colour displayed on screen and the actual desired colour. The smaller the number, the more accurate the result is. In fact, anything showing a colour difference less than 1.0 can't be distinguished by the human eye.
This figure is important for those who do colour critical work, as it shows if your computer and monitor is setup correctly and can also show how far off a proof is from the original.
