Interview with photojournalist Jonathan Taylor
In response to the many and varied debates on photojournalism and documentary photography on ePHOTOzine we have interviewed photojournalist Jonathan Taylor in what proved to be a real insight into the making of some top quality photo features and the work behind how the images are created. We hope this will provide insight into this fascinating profession.

Jonathan’s profile can be found in the Professional Portfolio Section here.
Examples of his features and details of training are at www.jonathantaylor.net

Interview with Andy Rouse
As the inaugural interview for the ePhotozine professional portfolio section we’re pleased to announce a discussion with wildlife photography legend Andy Rouse. Andy generously gave up a chunk of his time to discuss his work, his methods and his environmental concerns. We hope you’ll find this article a great insight into the man behind the images.

Thanks people that's very nice feedback to have. I've said it already but the real help was from Paul Indigo who's passed on some of his experience in Journalism to help me have the confidence to do this. Jonathan and Andy where also superb and gave me huge chunks of their time and really great answers.

Hellen Van Meene will follow soon. She was also a total star.

"Andy generously gave up a chunk of his time to discuss his work, his methods and his environmental concerns."

Yes - of course he is going to do that - I believe it is known as PR.

Excellent interview and some very interesting issues raise and debated but I just wonder who came up with the questions ?

I suspect Andy had a large input here.

You suspect incorrectly. I 'came up' with the questions. Though I believe it's called research as they didn't exactly just pop into my head from thin air.

As for the PR aspect there are plenty of less busy, less well known people who refuse an interview, any professional information or any use of images. He was totally open and generous which went way beyond a bit of PR.

Nice interviews Dave - thoroughly enjoyed them - but I wondered a bit at the term 'exclusive'. No offense, but has Andy Rouse [or JT for that matter] never given an interview before ?

Wouldn't that then mean that holywood star x,y or z could never sell exclusive interviews to magazines as they'd undoubtedly been interviewed before??? I believe this is exclusive to epz (unless someone starts copy and pasting =)

I put exclusive, because neither of these two are currently doing the rounds promoting and being interviewed. So, as Jester says, Dave's got the exclusive interviews with both these guys.

Terms used generally when an article has not been syndicated to other sites or magazines. Neither of these peices have.
