Winners Announced For 'Childhood' Photography Competition

Last month's photography competition, sponsored by foliopic, was all about 'Childhood' and we had a really good level of entry all of which showed a variety of emotion and stages of a child's life.

Up for grabs we had six, 12-month Pro foliopic accounts and the judge picked, in no particular order, Patricia Fenn, nimitta, allertadele, reika351, ComfortablyNumb and Nedawei as the six lucky winners.

Here's what the judge had to say: "Patricia Fenn's girl with rabbit is beautifully balanced and shows the sense of scale of life through a child's eyes.

nimitta creates a fabulous motion effect by careful use of panning and slow shutter speed to recreate the thrill of the playground.

allertadele demonstrates that moment when we discover new things - the fascination of life through the eyes of a child.

reika351 chose a low viewpoint and subtle toning to the colours to give a child's eye view of the room and the stair-gate that is a barrier to the unknown.

ComfortablyNumb captured the party moment perfectly with the total engrossed enjoyment of cake.

Finally, Nedawei takes us into the fantasy world of the story book, with subtle lighting and fascinated engrossment in the book."
