World Firefighter Games Photography Compeition

Sponsored by Sigma, SWPP and BPPA, the competition closes on the 1st June 2008, is open to everyone and is split into two main groups - under 16's and over 16's.

Submissions must be in digital format, up to 100Mb in size, and fall into one of the following four categories:

Operational Incidents
Photographs of Fire Fighters or other Fire & Rescue Services staff doing their jobs. For example buildings on fire, road traffic collisions, water rescue.

The winning entrant will recieve full membership to the SWPP & BPPA worth £99 where you will get:

• Professional Imagemaker magazine
• Help and advice with your photography
• Plus a huge range of other benefits

Vehicles and Equipment
Photographs of Fire & Rescue Service vehicles or equipment in use or on standby. For example fire trucks, cutting equipment, hoses, fire rescue boats.

The winners will recieve A full ticket to the 2009 SWPP & BPPA London Convention worth £250.

Previous World Firefighter Games
Photographs you took during previous World Firefighter Game's. Show a wider audience the intensity, fun and atmosphere that draws together the Fire Fighter community from all over the world. For example events, competitors, venues or visitors.

The qinners will recieve full membership to the SWPP & BPPA worth £99.   

Heat
This category is open to the widest interpretation that you wish. Some suggestions for photographs may be; a desert sand dune, a child eating an ice cream on a hot day, a warm open log fire in the winter, the passion and determination of competition: anything you may associate with heat. Feel free to interpret this category as loosely as you wish.

The winning prize for this category is a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG MACRO Standard Zoom Lens worth £349.99. Large aperture standard zoom lens provides superior performance both for Digital SLR Cameras and 35mm Film SLR Cameras.
