Worldwide pinhole photography day was established to celebrate the joy of simple creativity using the medium of lens less photography.
We are asking all people around the world to join in the day by taking a photograph with a simple camera and uploading their image onto the Pinhole day gallery www.pinholeday.org. The purpose of the day is to show that from a device as simple as a cardboard box with a small hole you can discover the wonder through the simple act of capturing an image through a small hole.
Last year, 3865 pinhole photographers from 74 countries uploaded their image.
The diversity of images will share two common characteristics:
They are all lens less photographs
They will all be taken on April the 28th 2013
They also share a less formal characteristic: the sincere enthusiasm of their creators who, by participating in this collective event, shared individual visions and techniques. Hence the amazing diversity of subjects, cameras, techniques and materials combined in previous years exhibition.
Minimal technology and cost, maximum passion, sensitivity and wonder!
