World's First 52x Optical Zoom Camera Released - Kodak has announced the new Kodak PixPro AZ521 with a 52x optical zoom lens.

Kodak has released a new range of digital cameras, released under license and setup as a new company called JK Imaging Ltd, the range is to be made available in a number of UK stores over the coming weeks.

The range is said to give you more zoom, better low light performance, and remove limitations such as improved macro performance compared to smartphones. JK Imaging Ltd has partnered with ASIA Optical, an expert in optical products that manufacturers for a number of other manufacturers, with strengths in zoom, lens variety and integration.

Kodak has signed up to the Micro Four Thirds standard and plans to release a Micro Four Thirds compact system camera.

Kodak digital cameras aim to target the long zoom, action, creative and entry level markets, with the first model being the flagship AZ521 with 52x optical zoom lens, as part of the Astra Zoom Series:
