Photo walk logoThe first global photo walk will be taking place on the 23rd of August and you're invited.

The event, which has been organised by Scott Kelby, president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals will take place in 100 cities around the globe and any photographer can take part.

Photowalk groups are limited to 50 people in each city and a grand prize valued at $5,000 will be given to the person who takes the best photo on the day. In addition, each Photo Walk leader will choose an overall winner from their group and they will win a copy of Scott Kelby's new book, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers.

The walk, which will celebrate the release of the book is a social photography event where photographers can get together for two hours and just enjoy taking photographs. Each Photo Walk has a leader that will chose a route and an end meeting place, where participants will get the chance to look at each others photographs.

Advance registration is required and this can be done here.

If you want to join a group or even lead one visit the Photo Walk website.
