101 Top Tips for Digital Landscape Photographers is an ideal book for anyone wanting to get into landscape photography.
Author Carl Heilman II is a professional wilderness photographer, and certainly knows his stuff when talking about landscape photography.
The book is simply laid out into 101 tips, with each tip having its own double page spread. It is further split into seven different chapters.
Chapter one looks at the equipment and accessories you'll need, along with some general tips, like the benefits of shooting RAW and how to adjust your ISO. We are also shown which cameras will be good for certain areas of landscape photography, as well as tips for using accessories like filters and tripods.
Chapter two looks at perfect exposures and colours, while chapter three covers creative principles and four looks at creating the best compositions. Chapter five is all about shooting situations, and chapters six and seven look at experimentation in your images and processing, storing and enhancing your work.
The book provides literally everything you'll need to know about landscape photography, in bite size chunks that are easily digested by even the novice photographer. It is full of stunning photos from Carl, and behind the scenes explanatory images too, along with captions telling you what settings were used. Overall, this will prove to be a very useful book.
