50 Lighting Setups For Photographers covers just about every lighting setup imaginable.
The book is basically full of different photographic situations and explains how each was taken. Each setup has a handy, easy to follow diagram to enable you to reproduce the lighting setup at home.
Stephen Begleiter explains how each assignment came about, what his visual objective, or look was, and how he eventually settled on the pose in the photo and that specific lighting setup. He also looks at post production to ensure the photo looks the best that it can. On top of this, he provides all the camera statistics and information to make it as easy as possible for you to get great results at home.
The book also has tip boxes for every setup, which help you with your technique. It also includes screen shots of any post production techniques used, to help you find exactly what you need to do.
The only problem with this book is that you will need to have a lot of equipment to follow some of the setups – so perhaps it is more of a book for semi professionals and professionals who have a lot of equipment.
It is a very useful book if you are a portrait photographer and are looking for inspiration for your shots.
