Creating Stylish and Sexy Photography is all about producing great glamour and flattering fashion images.

Author Chris Nelson has been a professional photographer for many years, and received his Master photographer award from WPPI.

The book begins with a few words about your potential client base and the many reasons women go for glamour and fashion shoots, before moving on to discuss what glamour photography actually is. It's all about what your subject wants and how they'd like to be depicted, according to Chris.

The book then moves on to explain some different types of glamour images, from classic beauty and boudoir, to sensual and pin up images, each type has a different feel.

Chris then goes on to explain how to go about a shoot, starting with establishing what the client wants, including hair and make up and clothing and props to make the shoot unique and personal to the model. After this, the book moves on to more technique based tips and hints.

Covered is lighting faces and facial angles. Also looked at are ways to make the model look slimmer, including using the 'S' style pose and creating a slim looking tummy and waist. How to emphasise different parts of the body is also covered, before moving on to look at using windows and mirrors to create different lighting and effects.

Chris looks at shooting in all locations, from the studio to the outdoors, and provides tips on using on camera flash and coloured gels to control what the light does on your image.

Overall, this book provides a useful guide for photographers looking to branch out into glamour and fashion photography. One thing that is missing though is the use of diagrams to show the set ups of the shoots. Chris is very good at giving you advice for shots in terms of how to position the models and explains what he aimed to achieve with each image, however there is little in the way of camera settings mentioned.
