A major change is taking place in the online world. The internet is becoming richer and we, its users, can enjoy desktop-like features within our Internet browser which creates a whole new experience. Pages need not be reloaded as often as they used to be and the amount of data exchanged between client and server is minimal. And everyone seems to know why Ė itís AJAX!
AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Sounds complicated? Not with the Head Rush Ajax book. The author takes a fresh new approach to learning programming language and serves you with a visual format designed for the way the brain works. Each line of programming code in the book is described and it is virtually impossible to lose the plot. You will solve puzzles and answer questions to help ensure you remember what the book is teaching you. Examples are selected from real life so itís fun to follow them. However, this ďremember without learningĒ approach has one drawback. The book is repeating itself a lot. And if you know something about programming already you can find yourself flicking through pages just to find something you donít already know from previous a chapter.
To summarize, Head Rush Ajax is an outstanding book for beginners who just started to make their first steps in programming. Itís interesting approach ensures that learning AJAX is not a boring and painful experience. However, if you know any other programming language already you can find yourself frustrated with some of the oversimplified information and the slow pace.
