Part of a series of compact 19x12.5cm books that provide a snapshot guide to some of the worlds finest photographers. Embarrassingly I'd not heard of Joel-Peter Witkin until this book arrived. The photographer provides a macabre look at his subject, blended with eroticism and very much surreal in style. All the photos are sepia toned and many are darkroom manipulated images with scratched surfaces and ragged edges. These will give digital photographers a few ideas too try.
Worth a look but will not be to everyone's taste.
