One of the latest in the location series looks at the world of portraiture. The book is laid out in the innovative Rotovision style ie minimal text, lots of high quality photographs and very detailed captions. The beauty with this is you can find a photograph quickly and then learn technique from the caption, saving you having to trawl through reams of copy finding the bit you are interested in.
So it goes without saying this book needs to have good captions, and here the author has done a great job of extrapolating info out of the photographers. There's some stunning work by a Cardiff based commercial photographer Ronald Turner, and a wide range of styles from other UK and World-wide photographers. As much is based on foreign experiences it doesn't have a UK slant, but you can apply the technique to your own photography and make them work.
Overall the book is well illustrated and has some new ideas that you probably won't have come across in previous books on the subject.
