For those who fancy a nostalgia trip, this series of nine books covering nine decades from 1900 to 1990s will be right up your street, or in this book right up the street of 1940 British people where many of the photos were taken by press photographers in that era. This collection of photos is material that would have appeared in national and local newspapers and has been archived by the Press Association. A great visual guide to the people of Britain in difficult times, shows tragedy, celebration, work and play. Thoroughly enjoyable to peruse. I'm looking forward to checking out the book covering the 1960s collection.
