The Altogether is a limited edition book that bizarrely comes with a 7in vinyl record (remember them) It's a very sparse hardback jacket with the graphic of a man pulling rope (matched on the 7in single sleeve).
Each page is twice the width of the jacket (the pages were hand folded) To view the content of each page you have to open the gatefolded page to review each photo.
The quality of production is excellent, but it's a right faff if you want to sit down and peruse.
What follows is a series of photographs taken over a period of five years in a copper wire manufacturing factory in Sandbach, Cheshire.
The photos show the workforce, the environment and the tools. The tools series towards the back is beautifully produced in the same vein as Bob Carlos Clarke's River Thames project.
The vinyl comprises two tracks made up of sounds from the factory.
Ingenious! For £20 it's worth getting one of these 750 limited editions packs.
