Branded as "the definitive guide to photography in every format" this book, by arguably the most famous photography author, is published by the most illustrative book company Dorling Kindersley. It doesn't have the same graphical design treatments that we're used to with DK but does have a very clear layout with clean pages, and loads of illustrative photos. My first photography book was a Hedgecoe and I like his style - to the point and full of useful snippets of info. This one continues in the same vane...and with some of the same photos! The digital element is lacking, but a book cannot do everything. Overall this is a much more visual manual of photography than the Basic and Advanced options by by Langford, but with less technical depth. Definitely one for the book collection of all but advanced photographers.
