As a lover of surrealist art I have to say I was a little disappointed with this book. It's clear that many of the photographers had weird and wacky ideas but through the medium of photography they couldn't always achieve their "dreams" whereas with art they could explore the mind with greater ease. As a result it's a mixture of clever and wasted. I think the better surrealism books are those that combine photography and art. Certainly not the best in this (Photofile) series.
