Black & White Photography in a Digital Age: Creative Camera, Darkroom and Printing Techniques for th
If you're looking for a lot of information on lots of different techniques then this book is perfect for you. The book covers plenty of ground but it doesn't cover each subject in much detail. One tutorial covers two pages which does make them easier to read. It also means there's plenty of images for you to have a look at. It's a very modern-thinking book which is written well and very easy to understand.
This book is a reference guide that's easy to follow and full of insightful information about black and white photography. It covers a variety of subjects, from landscapes and still life, to portraits and abstracts. The advice is practical, straight forward and very easy to understand. Each tip is illustrated and no two images are the same making the book visually pleasing too. It's a good, simple guide for people who want to learn black and white photography.
This book takes a detailed look at black and white photography and the processes involved with it. It explain things in great detail and conveys the work involved easily. Once you know how to turn your images black and white the book even shows you how to create borders to make your work that bit more special! Plenty of images are used and these range from portraits to...

Repro is excellent so tones leap out from the pages and expert info gleaned from the 20 or so p...
While I can appreciate black & white photography I'm not one of these people who will shoot nothing else, so a book on black & white still life didn't particularly make me want to look further, especially as the cover is dreadful! But inside is one of the most inspiring collection of images I've come across in one book with some fantastic explanations to the pictures that have been created. I've always liked the subtle work of John Blakemore and there are four or so examples in here, along with...
