Many thanks for clicks and comments on Up and Down
Today's images are looking down from the Library of Birmingham.
Thanks for looking
Love both of these, strong geometric shapes.
V2 deserves its own day in the spotlight.
Thanks Moira - I wasn't sure about which to upload as v1.
Two strong images taken with that graphic designer's eye!
Beuatiful lines, shapes and muted colours.
Two great shots Helen, I like the lines and near symmetry of V2
Very good pov's Helen, well spotted and captured.
.2 is the winner for me, Helen, two excellent viewpoints. Carol
2 Excellent images, but I would not like to be up there looking down
Brilliant shots, Helen!
Must go in to Birmingham with my camera!
Good shots, but v2 is quite amazing. That deserves to be up front. I can see you working this one into something magical.
I would suggest a crop at the top to eliminate the upper windows.
V2 for me!
I thought perhaps they were a giant pair of specs Helen,
and the REP building was the Royal Eye Pavilion !!
Good lines. Moira
I have a liking for v2 with those strong lines and oof background!
Makes me feel dizzy looking at it.
You obviously have a good head for heights Helen and a very good eye to compose your image,
Definitely a place for us photographers, not book reading! Two great well-seen shots, Helen, hard to choose a fave, so half a vote for each
Now brace yourself and sit down in case you reel from shock at what I am about to say, but I think V1 might make a really good BLACK & WHITE shot! V2 might be worth a try too as there are strong shapes there.
Regardless of my mono-tone-ous suggestion, these are well observed and captured (sorry, couldn't resist)!
These shots make interesting abstracts good strong architectural lines.
The unique composition of No. 2 has the greater impact and wins my vote.
Two excellent compositions, V2 perhaps the more strongly graphic: like a giant claw reaching out to grasp the viewer. I might just be tempted to crop V2 slightly to remove the area of glass dome and next-door's dormer window; but then, tomorrow morning I might just want them back!
I can easily see both as mono contenders. Of course!
Two great shots Helen, I love v2.
Two strong images, v2 gets my vote with that lead in
Great POV and comp, I like V2 even more. They are wonderful, Helen.
Two great images from this photogenic building.. v2 really grabs my attention today
