Photography Competitions

This month, to celebrate the launch of Olympus' new micro site Olympus Image Space, Olympus are giving you the chance to win £1000 worth of Olympus gear! You'll be able to choose whatever Olympus gear you like, to the value of £1000! One of the prizes you could pick is the OM-D, the weapon of choice for top photographers like Damian McGillicuddy. To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize, show us your best 'Portraiture' images. We want to see stunning glamour, fashion and facial close-ups, and any other portrait themed photography that you can think of. Your images can be black and white or colour, as long as they fit the 'Portraiture' theme. You've got until midnight on the 31 May 2013 to enter. Two images are allowed per person. 'Colour' was the theme of last month's competition sponsored by Transcend and the competition entry pages were certainly bursting with colours. 

With over a 1000 entries, you didn't make the job of judging the competition easy for the team over at Transcend but after some deliberation, they've finally picked their top three entries.

The judges said: "This is an amazing landscape full of colour. It looks like a wonderland you'd see in a dream." 2nd Prize Winner: amanda0102 with chateau

The judges said: "The photographer has captured an old scene with gorgeous ceiling colour and interesting detail. It's a moment that captures a scene from history with almost a fairy tale quality." 

3rd Prize Winner: alexturton with Only smarties have the answer

The judges said: "A really interesting idea that has an incredible mix of colour."
