This image of a Venetian street performer really jumped out and grabbed our attention. Photographically the image is very clear and sharp with the subject really standing out against the background and nice reflections on the hand and the ball. The spot of colour in the object also contrasts well against the black and white background and the angle works well making this our first prize winner. Flying Fish by Henchard

We thought this was an excellent idea and very realistically portrayed. Flying Fish demonstrated a clever use of digital manipulation and attention to detail particularly with the trail of bubbles the fish has left behind. Henchard wins a 36 x 24in Stretched Canvas Print worth £130.

Third Prize

Magical Age by ocadoman

What we liked about this shot was the expression on the children's faces and the way the rainbow of colour stands out beautifully against the black and white background The little boy has such a look of amazement and the little girl looks so impressed that we can almost believe the image is real. Ocadoman wins 36 x 24in MDF Block Mount to give away worth £130.
