Well, with over 780 entries, this was another successful competition - it's not surprising considering the great Nikon Coolpix 8700 prize offered. The theme was met with some interesting entries but the shortlist really stood out from the crowd.
As you can probably appreciate it was difficult to choose the four finalists and then place them 1st to 4th...all are outstanding shots and each one could easily be the winner.
But there can only be one...and that goes to Rob Atlas. We picked this one because Rob's interpretation was spot on, combining the coolness of ice with the cool image of a pair of shades. It stood out as soon as we saw it uploaded, mid way through the competition. Well done Rob!
2nd place goes to Paul Ward, aka "Park My Ferret", for undeniably the coolest looking "bling master" on the planet! A previous EC winner and a powerful shot. You wouldn't argue with this gent!
Paul Indigo takes 3rd place with his submission that's also an EC winner. Tall, dark and mysterious - this bloke oozes coolness as he strides through the urban landscape. Great tones, wonderful lighting and...very cool!
4th place goes to Clare. She only bought a camera in May 2004, so well done on this! There were several takes on "Cool as a cucumber" but this one has the edge. Very graphical, loads of colour and great impact on the screen.
Well done to the winners and shortlist. Commiserations to the rest - better luck next time.
