Light - Winner

Prize

Light was the theme for the competition and we had hundreds of excellent entries. We had silhouettes, sunrises, sunsets, lamps, bulbs and hazy portraits to look at but as always there could only be one winner and it's Seth Lazar (sethlazar) with Self Portrait in the Sahara. Seth walks away with over £1,400 worth of prizes!

James Vellacott said: "All the entries this month were worthy of any exhibition, a very high standard indeed. But Seth's image was the one that most caught my attention. To draw an image of oneself with a light source whilst correctly exposing the Sahara night scene is no mean feat. The image has very supernatural or even alien feel. A clever, quirky, and artistic way to illustrate the theme 'light'."
