Taken on a bitterly cold morning at St Thomas a Becket Church near Fairfield on Kents Romney Marsh. The church sits in the middle of an isolated field surrounded by dykes and streams. The conditions were perfect this morning as the rising sun lit up the clouds, church and frost covered reeds.

Love this in the portrait format Derek i think i may have been tempted to clone in a small patch of frozen reed tuffs into the immediate foreground but its definitely worthy of my award, class shot Smile

Best til last Derek?! What a beauty. Love the portrait format which makes the most of that lead in stream I have been commenting on and gives so much depth. This image keeps the frosty FG but has bags of colour in the church and sky and I do like the way the clouds seem to part about the ridgeline & steeple, making even more of a statement from the building. You've made such a great image out of so few component parts which is the mark of a true master Smile. This image is very deserving of it's awards and if I had ever got around to making my own User Award, it would have it! Grin

Another very successful image Derek and its not hard to see why! The light is super on this loveliest of churches and I love the way the clouds seem to radiate out from the spire. Love this format too - many congrats on all the awards!

The deep view wins the race for me Derek, they have all had their own attributes but this for me is the best of a great set.

Really like this in portrait format - the eye is led wonderfully to the church. Also like the frost on the reeds. Wonderfully crisp and detailed and speaks of the air that day.
