Another snow covered image taken on my way into work on Friday morning. We'd had more snow on Thursday night and so the field which I'd photographed the day before was now covered with a lovelly fresh, crisp layer of the white stuff.
This is a tonemapped image of five photographs, each 2 stops apart, processed in Photomatix and then slightly processed in PS CS5 just to increase the brightness of the snow a touch.
Thanks for looking,
Col

Why, this could have been taken here. I have a similar one - or almost the same! Smile

First class shot Cole. Really powerful image from something that most wouldn't think would make a shot.
Great work.........I keep coming back to it.

Have a dangly thing on me. Wink

(By the way, don't know if you're aware but we met at Ashridge about three or four years ago.)

Thanks for the dangly think Gerry and I was vaguely aware of us meeting, maybe we will again this year when the bells are out.
Thanks also to everyone for not mentioning that I haven't eradicated the dust bunnies! There are two or three of the critters on the left of the image which should have been dealt with!

I was just about to mention those, but dust bunnies apart this is one heck of an image. If I had a dangly thing left you could have had mine.

This is a beautiful image Colin, very well done. I never do see very much detail so the alleged "dust bunnies" completely eluded me !

Can I come too?

Colin this is a wonderful image, snow is not as easy to photograph as many of us have found out. I reckon this is the best use of PhotoMatix I've seen this side of the millenium. Real snow and that strange colour that the winter sky can have as the light drops. Lovely white balance, but of course the best part of the image os the excellent composition which is the basis of this image.
