This was taken 6 days ago in the midel of the desert in afghanistan. It is a miracle. Next to our smoging pit thare is a trash can. We all gather there during the day to smoke and chat. Some of the guys like sunflower seed as snaks. About a month ago one of the guys received a packet from home with home rosted sunflower seeds. He shared the seed with us all and apperantly one of these seeds made it to the ground next to the trash can What is even more amazing is that the seed had to nor get rosted back home to be able to germinate. The is has not rain here for over 2 month. The only water arround is the one we get in bottles, and all arround is sand, the onlu nutrients must have come from the trash. The fact is that we have the only sunflower plant in hundresds of miles arround and now we share our water with it. There you have it, Life will always find a way....
