We planted these flowers too late last summer. Little did we know that it was to be the hottest, driest, and longest summer we've seen in 40 years. A few, however, survived into fall. The shorter days, cooler (finally!) temperatures, and direction of sunlight confused the poor things and caused them to bloom all day long on some days.
