Had a wonderful morning photographing St Thomas a Becket church near Fairfield. This grade 1 listed building sits on an isolated rise on the Romney Marsh. The conditions and light were perfect.

Quote: Like this an awful lot Derek. Smashing light, comp and atmosphere. I was going to give it my UA until I noticed all the bling and thought that you've been quite spoiled enough ![]()
Andy
You can never have too much of a good thing Andy. The comment and consideration is appreciated.
A very big thank you for the UA Sarah. very much appreciated
Clever comp with the stream as a lead in while the church is such a great focal point being colourful and very well modelled by the side lighting (and holding it's tower on a 1/3 too I see!). The frosty grass is full of texture as is the sky, which incidentally I think you have done incredibly well to not overexpose given the church crosses the horizon. Did you merge 2 exposures? It's a very effective and powerful image, well deserving of all the accolades! ![]()
Outstanding Derek, composition, light, texture and bags of detail to marvel at, it's got it all! Congrats on the well deserved awards ![]()
