Judges Writeup
With over 300 entries, you didn't make it easy for us to pick just one winner!
There were plenty of fabulous entries, hence the long shortlist, but as with all these competitions, we can only have one winner and this week the crown goes to CaptivePhotons.
This is a shot of a well groomed, tidy guy and this is further exaggerated in the photographer's choice of tight, neat framing. The eyes are sharp and look directly at you, drawing you into the shot. This 'pulling you in' feeling is further enhanced by the dark frames that really stand out and help focus your attention thanks to the black & white conversion the photographer's chosen to apply. It's a great portrait that has plenty of detail but yet isn't over-complicated and it manages to keep your attention for a good long while.

Congratulations CaptivePhotons who walks away with a Nivelo 245BK tripod. Well done to the shortlist and thank you to everyone who entered.
Up for grabs this week is an award-winning BBH-200 Series Ball Head and the theme is 'Cityscapes'.
