The atmosphere looks to be water logged with that heavy mist hanging over the scene, Alun; looks cold +++.
Good to see such an image in these winter conditions.
Ronnie.

...let alone taking images Wink

A beautifully atmospheric image Alun - I feel drawn deep into the image while appreciating all the rich details along the way...

Very atmospheric.... very Welsh...... very wet!!GrinGrin

I think it rained when we took our kids there many many years ago. A fascinating visit though.

Dave

It goes to prove that great images can be had even in grim conditions. Nicely composed Alun with the rich foreground detail fading into the foggy distance, as others have said.....very atmospheric!

Suitably bleak and atmospheric - a good example to show that you don't have to have 'good' light

Thanks all. I wasn't sure whether the stark conditions and lack of colour might mean that this one was overlooked at thumbnail stage. Big thanks to Jeremy for the UA!

Fog favors the careful photographer-- here, the rock colors are enhances, the building in the distance has taken on a magical misty quality-- excellent led in in this composition as well!

Love the the desaturated look of this image, Alun. Adds real mood to the misty scene.

Alun, fantastic composition with lovely line. Very strong detail and clarity drift away into the mist.....like the one very much.
