lovely shot with nice dof and great detail
nice use of dof
Very nice Chris, I personally prefer the subject looking away from the camera it gives a little more mystery to the portrait.
Black and white for me every time.
that is really a gr8 shot
perfect "posing/modelling" by your daugther ... that distant look and eyes are really super, gr8 intens
Nice tones, gr8 details ... a very good shot !
A cracking portrait, wonderful dof. Carol
A beautiful portrait and dof. Like the way you have left her space to gaze into and prefer the B&W version. Its just an idea but you might want to add an extra dimension by colour popping the eyes in the B&W version. You could even saturate them a little.
Would love to see it if you do it
Looks good to me Chris.
Lovely shot in my eyes.
A cracking image, mono for me also. The eyes are great but perhaps just a little more dof so that the other eye was also sharp, I don't know personal choice really.
Great shot either way!
Good shot as others have said so wont repeat it all just to add B&W version for me.
Mono all the way with this one Chris, love her nonchalant gaze,I wish I could read her mind.
Thanks everybody for your comments, I appreciate it

Janet, Think it was somewhere along the lines of hurry up Dad, I havent got time for this and I hate having my picture taken, lol
Mono for me too and very nicely done Chris. Took a few of mine Christmas day, but nowhere near this standard...might put one up for a laugh sometime
Thoghtful gaze Chris. Ron.
Torn between the two. The mono is very striking but the colour has the benefit of those beautiful eyes. Deserves more attention,
I like them both . Such beautiful eyes . You have captured her well . Like the lighting and the pose .
I really like V1, though it seems a shame to lose the lovely colour of Alice's eyes by converting to b&w. Only niggle for me is I would rather see both her eyes in focus.
I bet she loves it.
What a beautiful girl! Obviously takes after her mother!
HNY Chris - hope it's kind to you!
Oh - and you can't shout at me - cos here's an RC!

Splutter!! cough!! *^$&*(!!
Made my day and going back to work easier.
This is lovely.......utterly lovely. Lovely light, lovely DOF, lovely eyes, lovely everything. Such a sweet shot. I think I prefer the mono this time round. Normally prefer the colour, but this just works....
