This was taken at Happisburgh on the north Norfolk coast back in June 2011.
I had just missed a rainbow which I had seen ahead of me whilst heading towards the car park. A mad dash down the steps and in front of the incoming tide left me with this image of the remaining rain clouds.
These 'impotent relics' are no longer there as they have proved insufficient to halt the rate of coastal erosion that has so badly affected the community of Happisburgh over the years. The local council has since contracted out work to replace these photogenic posts with not-so photogenic boulders.
