Taken at the height of the rutting season this October early one crisp and cold morning. I'd stalked this red deer stag in anticipation of some action with rival stags , however nothing was happening all he was doing was showing his prowess by calling / barking. I waited & waited for the right moment , then suddenly there was some magnificent light for a few minutes, enabling me to capture this image.
