The Barking Photographic Society is a long established and well
respected society, founded in 1948.
Our members consist of all levels of photographers from the novice to the advanced, so anyone who enjoys taking photographs and is interested in improving their photography will be made very welcome.
The members interests vary and these include both black and white as well as colour prints, mostly now being produced digitally by the members themselves, but trade processed are fine. We also have a group of members who produce slides and Audio Visual digital pieces are now becoming popular with a few members.
Affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies, we hold regular internal competitions as well as external ones against other societies.
A full year of activities fills our syllabus which consists of talks and demonstrations from a wide variety of visiting speakers, as well our own members. If this is not enough we also go out on various photographic outings.
We meet each Thursday from 7.30pm at Eastbury Manor
House, Eastbury Square, Barking, Essex IG11 9SN.
